RE Corps Enterprises (RECE) was formed as a Limited Company, and is owned by the Corps of Royal Engineers, in 1994 although it had been in existence in varying forms for many, many years before that. It is primarily run for the benefit of, and as a service to, current serving Soldiers and Officers, retired members of the Corps and their families.
Because RE Corps Enterprises Ltd is owned by the Corps, all profits generated by sales are gift aided to the Royal Engineers Central Charitable Trust at the end of each financial year.
RECE is currently run by three members of staff. The Manager is Mr Dave Moffatt who has held the position since his retirement from the Corps in 1994. He is ably assisted in the office by his wife Liz, who is mainly responsible for the mail order/web side of the business.
The third member of staff is Amanda Williams, who runs the shop.
The RECE business is located in Brompton Barracks, Chatham, which to most people is the historical home of the Corps.
The Office and mail order centre is currently located in building 39, adjacent to the Corps Museum, the office opening hours are 08.30 - 16.30 Monday - Friday.
The shop is located in the Student reception centre building near to the Barracks' main entrance; the opening hours for the shop are 10.00 - 14.00 Monday to Friday.
The Corps shop has a wide range of attractive gifts and goods for both military and civilian alike; we try to cater for all levels of expenditure and need.
If we do not stock a particular item we always try to obtain it for you, within reason.
